As part of its commitment to supporting early literacy, PBS KIDS Utah distributes children books at almost every Ready To Learn community event. Each child in attendance gets to take home a book to encourage and foster their love of reading. For many children, this is the first book they own.

PBS KIDS Utah has also created mini-libraries at community resource centers, providing an educational activity for children and their families while they are waiting to obtain various educational and social services. Children are encouraged to take their favorite books home to start their own at-home library.
